Didn’t we learn from Susan Boyle? Such a beautiful voice inside of there. Well, today, I went to Club Strength at WSC during my lunch break – a 45 minute class – that killed! I really find that instructors that look like they may not give you a good workout due to their size, gender, or age 9 times out of 10 prove me wrong. I always end up getting the BEST workouts when I misjudge. Just goes to show – you can’t judge a book by it’s cover!
Have you ever had preconceived notions about someone or something that proved you wrong?
Before I headed into class I knew that I would need a little something to get me through. I stopped at CVS and was intrigued by this Full Bar.
The instructions on the back were to eat it with water and it would hold you over to your next meal. It sort of made me uncomfortable – like I was about to eat on of those small pills that turned into a sponge animal or something! Remember those?!?!
Well, I must say it did the trick, and at 160 calories was a better option than some of the other CLIF Bars or Kashi Chewys. And it was on the larger side.
Flavor wise though – not so good. It tasted just like that Puffed Rice cereal – a memory of breakfasts at my grandmother’s house. But overall, just kind of blah.
If you’re looking for something in a pinch, this will do the trick, but definitely not something I would seek out again.
When I got back to my desk I had the last of my Lentil Salad atop Spinach Greens with some more Tomato, Feta and Cucumber.
And a Stonyfield Yogurt on the side.
I thought this short week would be quick – but it is D-E-A-D in the office today! I hope we get let out early tomorrow for the holiday weekend!
