I’m Starting to Have an Unhealthy Relationship with Jillian

Well, is there really such a thing?  Probably not, but I am starting to engross myself in all things Jillian.  My name is Quinn, and I’m a Jillian-aholic.  I said it!

Here are some recent examples of my obsession:

  • Over the past three days I have been listening to Jillian’s podcasts while working.
  • I bought the new SELF last week because she was on the cover.
  • I performed one of her workouts on ExerciseTV the other night (come to think of it, I ONLY do her workouts on ExerciseTV)
  • And then I went out over lunch today and bought this:

After reading about Bobbi’s workouts, I figured, why not give it a whirl.  I’m going to the Outer Banks in two weeks and then a week at the beach in Rhode Island next month, so what could it hurt to tone up a little for the old bikini – which has not been debuted since Belize!

As you can tell from the photo above I also picked up a Stonyfield Farms Blueberry Yogurt.

Prior to my Border’s purchase I had a Peanut Butter ‘n Shredded Carrot Wrap.

Seriously, this is delicious.  You’ve got to try it!

IMG_1030 Lunch & Learn: Hippocrates recommended women eat carrot seeds to prevent pregnancy. Some modern studies indicate there may be some validity to this and that eating carrot seeds after intercourse may in fact prevent the egg implantation process and block progesterone synthesis.

***NOTE: I am NOT encouraging you to eat carrots as a form of birth control.  It’s JUST a randar fact that I thought you’d find interesting :) ***

***SECOND NOTE: I took the carrot picture at a farmer’s market in Santa Fe two years ago.  That’s a crap ton of carrots, huh?***

what? carrot & peanut butter wrap? How is it I NEVER thought of this!

People think I'm NUTZ for dipping my carrots in PB. I love it! Why not make a wrap outta it!

Jillian has a podcast?! I gotta get it!

I saw her in New Orleans at a brunch about a year ago. Of course...she had all the healthy things. I need that kind of willpower :)

Hahaha sweet! So I can save some money and go off the pill?! JUST kidding.

I have a girl crush on Jill, too. What I wouldn't give for ONE workout session with her. I'd be in tears, but it would be SO worth it. You'll have to let us know what you think of the book!

I have done this set and it is amazing! I lost 10 pounds in two weeks but I had to give the DVD back. Jill really knows how to push you without injury. I would love to own these DVD’s so I can lose the weight I’ve been carrying! I have 100 pounds to lose and this will really help me.

I've never been thin. I have always had issues with my weight. The kicker was going to the doctor to find out that my triglycerides were so high they wanted me on medication. I decided it was time to lose the weight. Jillian has ALWAYS been a role model for me because she wasn't born fit! I started listening to her podcasts, taking her advice and doing her workouts. I counted my calories and worked out and lost nearly 60 pounds. The icing on the cake? My triglycerides and other blood work came back NORMAL. Not only have I lost that weight, but I have kept it off for almost two years. I LOVE Jillian's DVD's but am a law student, so I don't have money to spend. Thankfully, I have exercise tv on demand! I am working out with Jillian 5 days per week, listening to her podcasts every week and reading her book. There is nothing better than getting the knowledge and the tools from someone that you trust and being able to put it all to use in your life! My blood work, all of it, is PERFECT!!! I've kept the weight off and continued eating CLEAN. I have another 50 pounds to lose and know following Jillian's advice will help me get there! I am ADDICTED to this woman and her wonderful advice! (P.S. I subscribed to Self because I found out she is a contributing editor :D, no shame in that!)

I'm a Jillian maniac. I love watching biggest loser. Because of that show, I can actually run now! I yell at myself when I start quitting, just like Jillian. I've read her book "The 30-day shred" and have been doing her workout plans.

I watch her videos on exercise tv and would love to have my own 30-day shred video.

I love her gruff, no fuss approach to exercise and her down to earth, real girl attitude. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I am currently in my third year of college… talk about stressful. Not only am I trying to keep up my grades so that I can keep my scholarships, but also I am involved in a part-time job to keep the bills paid. You see, I do not live on the college campus (as a matter of fact, 40 miles away) so I’m not the typical college student. I have real life stress too. Nearly 100% of my income goes right out again in the form of energy and water bills. I walk/jog on a daily basis at home either outdoors (weather permitting) or on a treadmill given to me. I don’t know what to do other than walking. I want to be and CAN be a success story if I had the Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred DVDs. If I’m flipping through channels on the TV to take a quick break from studying and see anything about Jillian, I stop flipping. I love how she doesn’t let anyone get away with anything. That’s what I need!
