Oh….My….God. This is the day that will not end. I am praying that we get let out early – I really feel like a six year old when I say that. No one is in the office – no one! I think I have caught up on every food blog, Facebook, CNN, MSN, you name it, I’ve read it!
Are you getting out of your office early today?
Mid-morning I realized my GM was just not doing it, so I had an Odwalla Super Protein Bar.
I liked it – but I think I like the green Super Food one more!
Lunch was eaten on the dot of noon. I had a Flat Out Wrap filled with Sabra Hummus, Spinach and a Kidney Bean Salad that I tossed together this morning (diced tomato, diced cucumber, salt & Italian seasoning)
Perfectly dense and perfectly filling.
Dessert was an Oikos Honey Yogurt – I prefer this one to Fage as it’s not too sweet, and about 100 cals less!
Remember when Stonyfield Farms sent me a crap ton of coupons a few months ago and I couldn’t find Oikos at my grocery? Well, this weekend I’m at Safeway, and in the eggs section – which happens to be far away from the yogurt section (actually, there are TWO yogurt sections – one with the GoGurts and fake stuff, one with the plain Stonyfield Farms and Horizon organic products) – so I was not expecting to see yogurt. And as I reach for my eggs, I look up and notice that all of the Oikos products are wedged between the Egg Beaters and the Coffeemate Creamers!?!?!!? What idiot stick placed them there!?!? Why would anyone look for yogurt there?
So, Stonyfield – I apologize for saying Safeway did not carry your yogurt. It did, but we might need to give their stocking manager a lesson on brand placement. I might seek him out on my next trip! But, now I know I have access to Oikos all the time, and will be putting it on my weekly shopping list!
Do you ever find products next to one another in the store and wonder why they’re placed the way they are?

I don't think my office believes in stuff like that. My old office - it was a given that we got out every day before a holiday at 3 p.m. I think it's happened once here EVER. It's so sad..
I hear you!! OMG I am dying...so slow in the office. And I too have read everything I possibly can. And I even did some of the mindless work I always put off!
We don't get out early, but I can't complain, we have off every Friday of the summer :)

super protein and superfood are my fave odwallas. im beyond jeal that you even get the 4th off...not only do i have to work on saturday BUT i also dont get paid time and a half for it because techincally the holiday is on the 3rd. so the staff who works friday gets paid extra while i am stuck with a crappy 4th and no extra $$ :( pity party over. hows the blogger to wordpress switch going.
oh, and about the grocery store mysteries...it took me a while to figure out there was an entire kosher section with way different sabras! i dont really get the whole kosher thing, but lets just say they hit the jackpot hummus-wise.
Ugh, I feel you. My boss left an hour ago and told my co-workers and I: "Leave early if you can." Which to me, means NOW. But alas, I work with overachievers.
That is really funny that you mention this, as I've looked up where Oikos is available in my area and canNOT find them in the grocery store it lists! Um, if I were smart I'd ask the people at the grocery store. Or maybe I will just check next to the coffee creamers? (weird!)
LOL oh boy - so this is what I have to look forward to once I start my job in a couple of weeks?! ;o) I kid, I kid! The working world has it's up side, right?

i hate when there's no logic to grocery store setups. there are enough products as it is - no need to make it more confusing! hope your afternoon went by faster!
Ughh I'm dreading the fact that I have to work tomorrow. I work from home, but that kind of makes it even worse since everyone is free to hang out.
I need to try the Stonyfield Oikos yogurt. I'm a fan of Fage but love that this one has fewer calories!
