So here's my day today:
Breakfast was, duh duh da duh: multigrain toast with peanut butter and flax. And an Adora on the side. Blogger won't upload this one, but you've seen it before...
I was in conference calls all morning, and didn't get a chance to eat til after 1 which is late for me. Our company is headquartered in Chicago, who thinks it's okay to have calls at 11 central time -- right before their lunch, but right during ours. Surprisingly, however, I was okay til lunch. Today I had leftover mango couscous with a banana protein muffin and some cherry tomatoes on the side.
I got home later than usual today, so decided to skip the gym. I'm working from home tomorrow because I have some appointments in the middle of the day, so I can extend my morning workout if need be :)
Dinner tonight was steak salad --- using just my soy sauce and honey for a quick marinade. Sorry for all my veggie readers, but I've got to have some beef every now and then. On the salad were some tomatoes, kalmata olives, and corn right of the cob. It was delicious.
Steak cooking:
I then had one tiny brownie bite from TJ's.
The fiance and I are exhausted because the foster pooch, Bruno, kept us up all night. So we're just going to numb our minds with a movie On Demand. I think we're watching Vantage Point. And I'll likely have a frozen lime bar with that.
Here he is: The little guy succesfully bit off every one of those octupus' legs that is behind him. We'll see how long this little experiment lasts...

Burno is way cute too!!
So glad you're pics are up. And don't apologize for eating steak- it looks awesome!
ohmigod that steak looks SO. FREAKING. DELICIOUS. I want to eat it right off the computer screen! thanks for posting something so delicious!
How are the muffins? Did I miss your review?
- Heather
Yowza, that salad looks so good (and I don't even like steak that much...) Glad to see you can post photos again!
Have you decided on any restaurants for DC Restaurant Week? The boyfriend wants to take me out for my last day at the office, and I'm in need of suggestions :)
Allyson - Bruno says thanks!
Anna - You and me both are so glad the pictures are back up and running. Who justs wants to read? Boring!
Caitlin - It was delicious, and we have an extra steak which will likely make a lunch appearance today or tomorrow. Get excited.
Heather - I really like the TJ's Banana Protein Muffins. They're sort of chewy, and definitely not your typical muffin -- a little thicker. But, they really finished off a meal and filled me up.
Rose - Restaurant Week is one of my favorite times each year. The one that runs in January, I find, is better than the one in August, but regardless both are good. I have lunch ressies at PS7's on Wednesday and dinner on Friday at Rosa Mexicano (the fiance's brother and his GF are in town next weekend so we wanted something fun). I have done DC Coast for Restaurant Week, and they put on an excellent meal and don't deviate from their typical menu. That's the worst, is when restaurants "create" a special Restaurant Week menu that essentially is spaghetti they whipped up in the back. Not ok. I would recommend not choosing any restaurant that is under three of the dollar signs. You want to get the biggest bang for your buck. IF you're looking for organic amazing food, head to Agraria on the waterfront in G'town (in my opinion the only good restaurant down there). It will not disappoint, and is participating in dinner only for the week. Let me know what you decide on!
Wow - Thanks for all of these suggestions. I love Restaurant Week as well, but I always seem to think of it last minute (and can't get a reservation!).
I'll let you know what I decide! Thanks for these suggestions! I'm definitely aiming for $$$ or more.
I love Everyday with Rachael Ray!! Great magazine.
BRUNO IS PRECIOUS!! :0)
